Mexican caribbean Wine Dinner

”Artists & Chefs” is a new TV series filmed entirely in Texas that explores the places and spaces where art and food come together.

Your evening starts with a pre-dinner reception where local artists Sarah Manning, Jeannie Avard Starnes, and Jovana Morrison will showcase their unique and inspiring work amidst passed hors d’ouvres and flutes of champagne.

Guests will then sit down to enjoy a gourmet four-course meal at the magnificent tablescape from Episode 6 that evokes the white beaches, turquoise waters, and native plants of Mexico’s Caribbean coast.

The menu by Northwood Executive Chef Zac Wilbur — paired with John Northcutt’s carefully selected wines — is a symphony of flavors designed to satisfy the most discerning palate.

About the wines…

Cakebread 2022 Pinot Noir

Noted for its aromas of cherry, raspberry, and strawberry (with hints of floral notes such as rose petals) this wine also boasts earthy undertones of forest floor, along with hints of spices like clove and vanilla.

Cakebread 2023 Chardonnay

Highly regarded for its balance of richness and freshness, this wine contains aromas of ripe orchard fruits like apple and pear, complemented by tropical hints of pineapple and melon. There are often layers of citrus zest, vanilla, and a subtle touch of oak.

Cakebread 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon

Celebrated for its rich, complex flavors and structured body, this wine evokes aromas of ripe black fruits such as blackberry, blackcurrant, and plum. These are often layered with notes of dark chocolate, mocha, and hints of tobacco, cedar, and earthy spices like clove and anise.
