ARTIST – sarah manning

Art has been a part of Sarah’s life from an early age. Her mother, who was an art teacher, introduced her to the paintbrush and it quickly became a life-long interest. She holds an art degree from the University of Mississippi and paints and exhibits in the Dallas area. Her primary painting style uses a masking technique with acrylic paint and mixed media.

ARTIST – JEANNIE AVARD STARNES

A born and raised Texan, ceramicist Jeannie Avard Starnes draws on the organic beauty of nature to create functional pieces of art. Her stoneware pieces blossom from her philosophy that everyone should use something beautiful everyday. The ancient roots of her chosen art form also inspire her pottery, and she is invested in the centuries old relationship of human beings and their essential vessels of life.

ARTIST – jovana morrison

Jovana Morrison is a fine artist from Lima, Peru, where she studied and taught art for 10 years before moving to the States and eventually settling in McKinney, Texas.  She crafts wearable art that blends architectural inspiration with avant-garde fashion, inviting exploration and discovery in every piece.

Chef – zac wilbur

A classically trained chef with over 25 years of experience in fine dining and private clubs, Zac received a full scholarship to the Arts Institute of Minneapolis. He has worked with Marcus Samuelson at Aquavit in Minneapolis, and Stephan Pyles in Dallas, among many other prestigious restaurants and clubs. Zac was the Executive Chef at TPC Craig Ranch who hosted the Byron Nelson in 2023. He then took over the kitchens at Northwood Club shortly afterwards and is truly enjoying this amazing club and its membership.  

 

sommelier - john northcutt

Born in Garland, Texas, John attended Johnson and Wales Culinary University in Providence, Rhode Island. He has worked as a chef and beverage director at luxury hotels and resorts from California to Florida.  A passionate golfer and fly fisherman, he has served as Clubhouse Manager at Northwood since 2023.
